Your Time, Their Time

Understanding how to manage our personal time is very important and when it comes to working with other peoples time it is more convenient we treat such impersonally. Permit me to be rational and to speak as a scholar in Finance. It is only time that tells if an asset say money depreciates or appreciates, so time generally is as important as anything you can think of. Now consider a situation were you already had made your work-plans for the day and someone called in to ask for a 'favor'. That is, excusing your plans to execute their own plans. What will you do, especially when there is no personal value or attachment of such work to you? Some people will choose to help. That is not bad but can you be able to fix your personal schedules later on? If not, it is also not bad to let people know you can't be able to help them. By the way, some persons had made it needful to impose their time on others and this is totally rude! People become unreasonable when you can't work with their time. (Note, this excludes the Employee-Manager relationship). It is wrong to assume that people are idle so can be approached any time for help. A sleeping man deserves his rest time, unless he sleeps on duty. The best way to get into peoples time is to let them have prior knowledge of your desires. Perhaps they can be able to fix you into their time. Remember that people will tend to respect you if you try your best to respect their time!
